The Programme:

The Internship is a 2-3 months programme that aims at exposing the intern within the Human Resources Department to as much assignments and tasks as possible as this is a very intensive programme driven to give the intern a taste of what it is like working in Human Resources, especially one where it involves driving transformation and change in terms of People, Process and Systems. Therefore, multiple rotations and scope of responsibilities should be expected.

Summary of Role:

The incumbent will be responsible for all things assigned by the Human Resources Department, this is where the actual learning happens. What is interesting is the incumbent will be part of a small autonomous team consisting of multiple individual contributors that will be driving HR Transformation within the Group. Day to day HR administration is part and parcel of the job, but this is where the opportunity lies for the incumbent to look at improvement and automation opportunities and cast his or her own ideas and creativity and put them to good use. Essentially, the incumbent gets to pick the problems he/she wants to solve.

The incumbent will be reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources, as are everyone else in the team, hence, there is no micro-management. But the incumbent will be getting loads of guidance, support and coaching from the Management and the respective team members and leaders here are more than happy to listen.

You should be:

To drive Company's trailer to deliver/shift the goods/material/equipment to/from customer user whenever there's a request. He also must ensure on time delivery and securely the goods and vehicle


Responsible for assessing quality of all wire rods/deform bars in coils produced and support on necessary control parameters to meet specific customer's requirement.

-To supervise the maintenance team to carry out prevention maintenance, daily repair, control spare parts and keep good housekeeping.

-To ensure plant performance including good machine running condition, inventory control and worker discipline.

Responsible for receipt, unloading, labeling, storage of material delivered by vendors to General Store (GS), and loading, issuing of materiel from GS to plants users

To carry out daily machinery maintenance works and routine inspection throughout the plant. To handle Compactor operating process and other task which related to shift duty.

The machinist (roll shop) is responsible to carry out machining of rolls for rolling nils to obtain maximum machine utility, to meet production requirement and section's stretched goal

Responsible to supervise, source and purchase materials and services in accordance to General Purchase policies and procedures

Responsible & manage on cost & inventory control and operation accordance to policy and procedure.

The Role:

This is a replacement role that will work closely within the Corporate Finance central team, focusing on monthly Group forecast and annual Group budgeting and variance reports; therefore, this is a high visibility role within the Group with direct access to the CFO and Senior Management team. 

Your profile:

You should be someone who is ambitious, detailed oriented and meticulous as the role involves a lot of data compilation and  financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Your drive towards excellence in your role and of assisting others to succeed in their roles is also critical as you will be part of smaller teams driving ad-hoc projects aimed towards process and reporting improvements.

A degree in accounting or equivalent with minimum of 3-5 years working experience would be ideal, with experience in a reputable audit firms or handled Group reporting in manufacturing environment. 

Good knowledge of current accounting/reporting standards  (MFRS, Malaysian Income Tax, Companies Act, GST/SST, Bursa, etc) and knowledge on Group consolidation for multiple companies would be an added advantage for this role.

Summary of the role:

We are currently on the look out for an experienced Finance Controller/Manager who has the right competency and experience to deliver the below Objectives:

1. Driving the overall financial analysis for the business to provide Management in business strategic planning
2. Overseeing the overall finance function in the business to ensure smooth delivery and improvements in finance operations and reporting
3. Leading the overall business finance team (in collaboration with Group finance teams) to ensure continuous improvement in people, policies, and processes.

Role incumbent:

Will be in charge of the whole finance and management accounting function and will need to be able to lead and guide the finance team members for monthly reporting, managing cash flow, general reporting to Group, tax planning and other relevant functional requirements.

This is a Senior Management role and the incumbent should have at least 5-10 years of relevant experience with at least a stint in Managerial position managing a team; auditing experience is favourable as well.

Ready for challenges especially with the current industry outlook in Steel, able to work under pressure and have flexible work-life arrangements as the role will require significant committment to the deliverables on Monthly, Quarterly and Financial Year basis.

Competency Requirement
